The United States women’s national soccer team defeated Colombia 3-0 on Sunday to finish the unbeaten under interim coach Twila Kilgore.

Mia Fishel, Jaedyn Shaw, and Lindsey Horan all scored for the USWNT in the match, which was the second of two friendly matches between the two teams.

Kilgore, who was one of Vlatko Andonovski’s assistants on the national team, took over as interim coach after Andonovski resigned following the Women’s World Cup this past summer.

The USWNT was eliminated in the Round of 16 on penalties after a scoreless draw with Sweden, the earliest World Cup exit ever for the Americans.

Kilgore finished her stint as interim coach with a record of 3-0-1. The USWNT will next play in early December against China.

The team is expected to name a new coach before those matches as it prepares for the Paris Olympics next summer.tunesharemore_vert
